Feasibility analysis of solar doubleeffect absorption chiller

Presents a combined operation system of solar doubleeffect LiBr absorption cooling and compression cooling. Adopts the parabolic trough collector (PTC) to drive the doubleeffect LiBr absorption unit and undertake the peak load in summer, so as to reduce the peak energy consumption and electricity of air conditioning system. Tests the change curve of PTC efficiency, establishes a combined operation system of solar doubleeffect LiBr absorption cooling and compression cooling using the experimental data based on TRNSYS model , and obtains the energy consumption data by simulating the operation condition in summer. The results show that the payback period of combined operation system is shorter and the total annual cost is lower, when the load ratio of solar absorption system is lower and the irradiance of design collector area is higher.
